Ligonier Ministries is hiring a
Remote Sr. Systems Administrator

📍 Remote

Ligonier Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization, is seeking a talented Sr. Systems Administrator to assist the Infrastructure Services team. Infrastructure Services is responsible for Ligonier’s networks, servers, systems, software, and security.

This role is responsible for researching, provisioning, configuring, deploying, and maintaining systems and related infrastructures. Responsibilities include managing on-prem and cloud-based servers, storage, cloud services, and business applications. They work closely with the Infrastructure Services manager to implement information security initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts. Systems Administrators also provide end-user tech support as needed and informal mentorship to other team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing Entra ID, Azure servers and services, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Planning, coordinating, and implementing security controls and measures to protect Ligonier’s identities, apps, data, and devices.
  • Administering Ligonier’s email security gateway to protect users from phishing attacks and other email-based vulnerabilities.
  • Serving as an MDM administrator (macOS, iPadOS, iOS, Windows, Android), continuously monitoring the health of our endpoints, and regularly conducting security and compliance audits.
  • Managing and supporting user-facing IT systems and equipment, including but not limited to forensic cameras, copiers, access control, VoIP, and video conferencing setups.
  • Ensuring business continuity by monitoring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and verifying the successful completion of backups.
  • Actively contributing to the documentation of SOPs and organization-wide policies.
  • Working with the Data Services and Software Development Services teams to support org-wide initiatives and maintain complex data and web application infrastructure.
  • Overseeing and maintaining the organization’s DNS systems and external DNS services.

Technical qualifications:
  • 5+ years as a Systems Administrator (recent)
  • Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365 admin, and Google Workspace admin; AWS is a plus
  • Experience working with project teams and leading medium to large technical projects
  • Experience with information security and compliance standards, such as PCI DSS
  • Experience implementing new tech, apps, and business process automation
  • Experience managing MDM solutions for Windows and Apple devices
  • Experience balancing operational and project work simultaneously
  • Microsoft certifications (especially Azure) are a plus

This position is for a non-profit Christian ministry located in Sanford, FL. At this time, we are only able to hire individuals who are authorized to work in the United States.
 
The pay range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 annually. Pay ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably believe we would pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately offer more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and organizational needs.
