The ideal candidate understands the internet as a real place where people ask questions, disagree, raise concerns, and decide whether a conversation feels safe. That takes a strong writer. A sharp listener. Someone who remains calm under pressure. Someone who doesn’t get weird when the internet gets weird. They need to speak naturally across different platforms and emerging channels. TikTok shouldn’t sound like Instagram. Reddit shouldn’t sound like a press release. They should bring emotional maturity to real conversations and know how to spot and respond to sensitive ones. They’ll also help us learn from what we’re hearing. Comments and DMs show us what people are asking, what they’re carrying, where we have been unclear, and where more care is needed.
