Remote Multimedia Specialist

The Multimedia Specialist supports The Gospel Coalition’s mission by producing high-quality video and audio content to support marketing, branding, content, development, and communications initiatives. This role manages multimedia projects across various departments, primarily focusing on post-production and storytelling that aligns with TGC's vision.

Description
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in audio and video production.
- Demonstrated expertise in high-quality video and audio production and editing.
- Experience incorporating music, sound effects, motion graphics, and visual effects into digital content.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from various departments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Experience managing libraries of raw footage, audio files, and archival multimedia assets using cloud and physical storage.
- Full alignment with The Gospel Coalition’s mission, vision, and theological convictions.
- Servant-hearted attitude and commitment to excellence in ministry work.
Responsibilities
Production & Project Ownership
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate creative vision into executable production plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Lead end-to-end video and audio production, including pre-production planning, on-site capture, post-production, and final delivery.
- Lead production on livestream videos such as webinars, workshops, and public facing virtual events.
- Manage contractors for major production and on site shoots as applicable.
- Ensure all multimedia projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with brand and content standards.
- Establish standardized workflows for video/audio production across teams.
- Equip internal staff with basic video/audio capture best practices.
- Identify opportunities to repurpose long-form content into high-impact short-form assets developed by our content team (clips, reels, promos).
Media Asset Management & Archival Systems
- Design, implement, and maintain a centralized, cloud-based media asset management system for all video and audio content.
- Establish clear workflows for file organization, naming conventions, metadata tagging, version control, and retrieval.
- Lead the migration of existing archival content into an accessible and scalable system.
- Ensure proper backup, redundancy, and long-term preservation of all media assets.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Scope, source, and manage external video and audio contractors when needed.
- Provide clear creative briefs, technical specifications, and feedback throughout the production process.
- Ensure contractor work meets TGC quality standards and aligns with brand expectations.
Expectations
- 40 hours / week
- Attend weekly meetings
- Provide ownership over all multimedia projects and deliverables.
- Ensure all content adheres to TGC brand guidelines, messaging, and quality standards.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and explore new tools/software to enhance production quality.
- Maintain the safety and quality of all equipment.
