Role Description
We are seeking a Managing Partner for our M&A Services in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a full-time, on-site role. The Managing Partner will lead the business advisory and mergers & acquisitions services, identify and attract clients, analyze potential transactions, and oversee deal negotiations. Responsibilities include providing strategic insights, developing client relationships, assessing business valuations, and ensuring seamless execution of M&A activities in collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders.

Background:
  • Strong expertise in Business Brokerage, M&A Advisory, and Strategic Planning
  • Skilled in Business Valuation, Negotiation, and Financial Analysis
  • Proficient in Relationship Building, Client Management, and Leadership
  • Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end deal processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA JD, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Prior experience in the San Francisco Bay Area market is a plus
  • Must have a valid California Real Estate License to practice


About the Opportunity
We are seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial Managing Partner to lead and build a high-performing M&A business brokerage team specializing in transactions of $1 million and above across the lower middle market.

This is a commission-only leadership opportunity, ideal for an experienced professional with a background in M&A, consulting, finance, or law who is ready to leverage their expertise, network, and leadership skills to create a scalable and highly profitable practice.
While this role requires commitment and initial financial preparation, it offers exceptional earning potential once a deal pipeline is established.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and mentor a team of M&A advisors and brokers to manage end-to-end deal processes.
  • Originate and develop relationships with business owners, investors, and intermediaries.
  • Oversee the preparation of Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs) and other marketing materials.
  • Manage buyer qualification, negotiations, and due diligence through to successful closing.
  • Foster relationships with referral sources including attorneys, CPAs, and financial institutions.
  • Ensure compliance with California real estate brokerage laws and ethical standards.
Qualifications
  • Active California Real Estate License (required to practice).
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A advisory, consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or business brokerage.
  • Proven ability to generate and close complex transactions.
  • Strong leadership, networking, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated professional with an entrepreneurial drive and long-term mindset.
  • Must be based in the South Bay Area (San Jose)
  • Ability to sustain a 6-month runway while building an initial pipeline.
